I particularly love how Carole Radziwill describes the atmosphere as "effortless chic." Like, they literally just threw a party together and hoped nobody would notice. And did they succeed? I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that they were both members of one of the most famous families in America and decided to keep their union under wraps.

And can we talk about these photos for a second? Carolyn trying on a matching t-shirt with her new husband, JFK Jr., is just... wow. It's like they're on a 90s rom-com set or something.
