It's official: Gregory Zucca, Dog the Bounty Hunter's stepson, has been placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold after accidentally shooting his 13-year-old son. Because, you know, sometimes the best way to deal with a mental health crisis is to just grab a firearm and go for it.

We're not sure what's more shocking – that Gregory allegedly shot his own kid or that he's apparently been practicing his "bang-bang" skills without any adult supervision. I mean, who needs trigger locks when you've got a 13-year-old son running around? It's like Dog the Bounty Hunter's family motto is "Gun it up, kids! You never know when you'll need to shoot someone!"

Meanwhile, authorities are still investigating and no arrests have been made. Which is just what we all want: for an entire family to be left unchecked while they deal with their clearly-not-fully-functional patriarch. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that the investigation includes "statements from witnesses who were at the scene" – aka Gregory's wife, who probably didn't see anything because she was busy running away from the sound of gunfire.

On the bright side, this is probably the most exciting thing to happen in Naples, Florida all year. I mean, it's not every day you get a celebrity-related murder mystery (accidental or intentional – we're not judging). So, let's just hope Dog the Bounty Hunter uses his bounty-hunting skills to track down his stepson and bring him to justice... or at least make sure he doesn't shoot anyone else in the foot by accident.
